I, Introduction

Hello everyone, thank you for coming today. I’m Nhat

and here is my partner Huyen, we are looking forward to
talk about the pollution of water. Do you ever think about
how important the water is in our daily lives? The water
cover two-thirds of our body.  They provide half the
oxygen we breathe. People used to think that the water
was unlimited that they wouldn't be affected by human
activities or somethings else. These thoughts contribute to
water pollution. In 2011, UNICEF and WHO were
estimated that Vietnam had over 14000 people died of
dirty water. Well today we are showing out the reason
why and solution of polluted water. I break this area down
into 2 parts. So let’s begin with the first part.

II, Body
- Now I would like to explain the cause:
2 main causes of water pollution include natural disaster
and human activity. Natural form of water pollution is due
to erosion in water, usually caused by rainfall and runoff
on a slope. Another reason is mixture of minerals, leaves
of plant. If there is high amount of toxic elements in the
soil where water is collected, they tend to get mixed in
water. A lot of reason pointed out that human is the
mainly reason of pollution. Now I’ll give you some. The
first thing is domestic effluents. The acts of people
bathing, washing clothes, bathing the animals, and
cleaning utensils in the ponds and canals, also lead to
contamination of water sources. In homes, as a result of
various daily chores, domestic waste effluents (sewage)
are discharged into drains and eventually into water
bodies. Such effluents include rotten fruits and
vegetables, kitchen stove ashes produced in homes,
different kind of rubbish, rags of clothing, detergent
substances, dirty water and other waste material. Next is
industrial effluents. As a result of industrialization, the
number of factories has multiplied today, but their waste
is discharged into the rivers, canals, ponds, and other
water sources. The last is wastewater treatment system.
Vietnam is developing country so facilities are poor. This
is why wastewater is not handled thoroughly. Here is
some reason why water is polluted. In the next part, my
partner, Huyen will show you the solution.
