Did a sandwich start world war one?

Lots of people in one hand might ask did Gavrilo Princip standing in a corner eating a
sandwich might have cause the world war one to start. Additionally who would say that
a normal guy standing at a corner eating a sandwich would know that Franz Ferdinand
would come exactly where he is. But, in the other hand, the others might argue that
world war one was going to happen anyways so it wasn’t Gavrilo Princip eating a
sandwich started the war. There are no right or wrong answers but I personally argue
that Gavrilo Princip eating a sandwich didn’t start world war one because of different
reasons.

First, I think it’s because world war one was going to happen eventually even though
Gavrilo was trying to assassin Franz Ferdinand. The story build up until that moment by
starting with Franz Ferdinand the Heir to the throne in Austro-Hungarian (which means
he is about to be in charge of that place) wanted to visit Bosnia (that country was ruled
by the Austro-Hungarian by that time). But the people wanted to be a part of Serbia.
That brings to the idea where they are trying to build up a big empire and fight against
the Germans, Italian, and the Austro-Hungarian. Thus, this clarifies that the world war
one was going to eventually happen even though the assassination happened. People
might say that the assassination of Franz Ferdinand made the situation worse. It might
made it worse but as I said, it was already going to happen.

Secondly, Franz Ferdinand wasn’t going to Bosnia because of a serious problem like
something related to an agreement that Bosnia is going to help Austro-Hungarian and
their alliances to fight Russia, France, and Britain or even worse, some meeting about
World War One. Actually, he was just going on a holiday with his wife Sophie. He went
to the town hall were the people in Bosnia would greet him. But Gavrilo Princip is
actually from Serbia and he was trying to help Bosnia to be free and be a part of theirs.
So instead of killing the present ruler of Austro-Hungarian. What he did was he went to
Bosnia and tried to assassin Franz Ferdinand. He was informed that Franz was visiting
Bosnia, so he had everything planned (e.g. which road he was going to go, etc.) But he’s
first attempt of trying to assassin him failed. But the surrounding people was damaged
so they were mostly sent to the hospital. After Franz heard that, he wanted to go to the
hospital but the driver said that it was too dangerous so they decided to go back to the
train station. So, when they were turning a corner, it was him, Gavrilo Princip eating a
sandwich. He saw them and killed both Franz Ferdinand and Sophie. So, this story of
how everything happened tells us that even before Franz Ferdinand came to Bosnia,
Gavrilo Princip wanted to kill him and wanted Bosnia to be a part of Serbia.
The last reason is because militarism. Militarism means how much army are there in a
particular empire and building of army. Not just because this whole situation about Franz
Ferdinand getting assassinated by Gavrilo, but also before this situation happened. They
wanted to have a better, stronger, and more advance in a technique way. So, they
wanted to build a bigger empire than the others. If they would want to build a bigger
empire then they would have to have more people. To have more people, they need
more small countries that supports them. That might be the reason why Astro-Hungarian
ruled Bosnia.

In conclusion, because of militarism, and the fact that Franz Ferdinand actually went
there for a holiday, and the fact that the world war one was going to happen eventually
because of other reasons, the sandwich didn’t made the world war one happened. What
if Gavrilo Princip didn’t had his sandwich in his hand eating it? Would it change the
whole situation?
