Evaluation of project one.

I believe that my skills in film making, and editing have developed

greatly in this project, apart from one creative workshop I worked
predominantly on my own. I practiced multiple camera movements
and effects pre-editing. I tried to focus on what shot would be most
appealing to the viewer. During editing I stretched my abilities in the
software I used e.g., adding transitions, effects and key frames.

I expanded my ideas with Microsoft PowerPoint. I found inspiration

relating to landscapes on the internet and adapted it to fit my brief, to
see how I could create something similar with the focus on autumn.

I created five outcomes of various landscapes each with an individual

edit to highlight the scenes.
I managed my project well and stuck to the deadline I stayed on time
for my tasks and didn’t struggle to finish any of my outcomes.

I think the outcomes fit my target audible well. I created distinct

outcomes for people who enjoy landscapes, even tailoring one
outcome to national trust members. I would have liked to have more
notable images to fully express the range of seasonal visuals I could
create but that would require a longer time allotted for the project.
Keeping this in mind I could always explore seasonal film or
photography in future projects.

My favourite piece was the national trust advert as I think it is the

strongest outcome and feels the most professional in comparison to
the other outcomes. I also think as it is my last outcome it is most
developed technically from practicing editing the previous videos.
I also like the second outcome as the sunset created quite dynamic
visuals.

The outcome that was the most difficult would be the creative
workshop interview as I planned, directed and edited to create the
video in a short amount of time. I also found it difficult to work
around the audio faults.

Overall, I think I successfully met my brief as I created more than I

planned to do, and my outcomes were of the same quality as my
inspiration. To improve I would work on my skills in filming, editing
and try to add more subjects into my outcomes.
