Talend Data Integration Installation

Following steps are for Talend Integration Studio. I'll send installation steps for Talend Big
Data Platform VM tomorrow morning. 

Hardware
1) Processor - dual core (i3 / i5)
2) RAM - 8 GB
3) Disk space - 40 GB

Softwares
1) Windows 7/10 (64 bit)
2) JDK 1.8
3) Talend Open Studio / Talend Integration Studio (6.3)
4) MySQL 6.0 workbench (each machine should have MySQL database server installed)
5) MS Office
6) notepad++

#2,#3,#4 are available for free download. 

Following are Talend installation steps - 

1) Install jdk 1.8 http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-
downloads-2133151.html

2) Environment variable configuration - Prior to installing your Talend solutions, you have to
set the JAVA_HOME Environment variable. Define your JAVA_HOME environment variable
so that it points to the JDK directory. For example, if the JDK path is C:\Java\JDKx.x.x\bin,
you must set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to: C:\Java\JDKx.x.x.

3) visit - http://www.talend.com/products/data-integration

4) Click - "DOWNLOAD FREE TRIAL"

5) Fill the trial form and click "START MY TRIAL"

6) Download zip file (size approx 1 GB)

7) Extract zip file

8) Email would be sent to the ID mentioned in the form filled (in step #5) by Talend. The
license file would be attached to the email. Download the license file and keep it Talend
folder extracted in step #7. 

9) Open Talend Integration Studio – double click file “Talend-Studio-win-x86_64”. Following

window will appear
10) Select Option “My Product license is on the local file system”. Select license file
downloaded to your machine. Click “Next” button
11) Create New project / Select an existing project and click finish

12) This will open Talend Integration Studio, Go to Menu  Help  Install Additional
Packages (Please note this step will internet connection without any firewalls)
13) Following window will open – Select Required third party libraries & Optional third party
libraries and click “Finish” button. One more window to accept license agreement will
appear, click “Accept All” button
14) Installation progress will be shown in right bottom corner of the tool

15) If installation throws any error, please repeat steps #12 to #14 one more time.
Talend ESB Installation

1. Visit https://www.talend.com/products/application-integration/esb-open-studio/2. Go to
Free Products section
2. Click Download
3. This will download TOS_ESB-20180116_1512-V…..zip file
4. Extract zip file
5. Follow instructions available on following url for further Installation

6. Open Talend ESB platform Go to Menu  Help  Install Additional Packages (Please
note this step will internet connection without any firewalls)

9. Following window will open – Select Required third party libraries & Optional third-party
libraries and click “Finish” button. One more window to accept license agreement will
appear, click “Accept All” button
10. Installation progress will be shown in right bottom corner of the tool
