Hallmark events are designed to increase the appeal


of specific tourism destination or region.
MAJOR EVENTS
These events attract
significant local interest and
large number of participants
as well as generating tourism

MINOR EVENTS
Most events fall into this category and it is here that most
event managers gain their experience.

Responsible for:
• Ensuring the overall company
has a strong public image
• Public relations are conducted
through the media, that is,
newspapers, television,
magazines, etc.
