Introduction to Birdwatching Basics

Birdwatching, often called birding, is a hobby where people observe and identify birds, sometimes for pleasure and sometimes for scientific research. It can be done with the naked eye or visual aids like binoculars and telescopes. Many birders enjoy hiking and camping, and former hunters and anglers take up birding during seasons when they cannot participate in their usual activities. Novice birders can learn more quickly by joining experienced birders, but should confirm species identifications using field guides to properly learn and own their bird lists. Birding should be done with care and respect for wildlife to avoid harming bird populations.

Birdwatching, often known as birding, is a type of wildlife observation in

which the observation of birds is done as a pleasure pastime or as scientific

research. It can be done with the naked eye, using visual aids like as binoculars
and telescopes, or by monitoring public webcams.

After being in the webinar. I feel so knowledgable about birds because the
speaker, shows a lot of birds from different part of the philippines. They are
beautiful, extraordinary, and unique. I notice that they are all different. Interms of
characteristics and their ntaure. Like use people, we are all different.
I feel bad after being in this webinar because I cant go and birdwatch. Due
to the covid-19 lurking around. We are not allowed to go and be free outside.
I feel like I want to participate in some kind of programs or activity, even it
is online. In that way, I can still help even in small actions.

I learned that the majority of birders are outdoor lovers who like hiking and
camping. Many hunters and anglers turn to birding for outdoor enjoyment during
the hunting and fishing seasons. Birding was my first step into a new hobby in
wildlife management.

To learn more quickly, beginning birders will wish to join forces with more
experienced birders. However, the identity of each new species should be
confirmed using the field guide's image, description, and map. This is the most
effective method for learning and maintaining genuine ownership of your list.

I believe that we should care for wildlife more, because if we do not, birds
may go extinct. Birding should be done with precautions and a respect to the
wildlife.

I consider myself as a newbie birders. We open our eyes and search for
activity around us, even in our regular routines, we frequently express the idea
that we have never seen so much. Birdwatching increases our awareness of our
surroundings and the natural components that surround us, such as weather,
rocks, trees and bushes, hills, insects, and other animals.
