CARRIE (12:30 MT CLASS)

Open with simple black screen as the words Carrie and a trigger
warning appear on screen.
Cut to establishing shot of girl running into bathroom with focus of
the bathroom mirror. Shot of carrie staring at herself, the front of her
dress is covered in vomit.

Carrie [inner monologue]: Take a shower, you don’t want to smell.

Undress, get your pajamas on. Undo your hairdo, wash off all your
makeup.

Carrie : “I can’t even look at myself.”

Carrie [inner monologue]: This is my life everyday. I can’t control it.

Fade to scene of Carrie and Tommy standing in front of Xavier

Anderson’s house whilst people rush in excitedly past them. Both
hosts, Xavier and Holly, welcome the guests. Carrie looks nervous,
Tommy takes notice and grabs her hand.

Tommy : C’mon

They enter the home as the opening chords to Sia’s Chandelier begin
playing. They walk further in together and Carrie spots Xavier and
Holly , the party hosts, and greets them.

Carrie : party girls don’t get hurt

Cut to Sue Snell sitting on the couch. Takes notice

Sue : Can’t feel anything, when will I learn? I push it down, I push it
down.
Cut to villains entering party and Sue takes notice. Chris waves and
Sue waves back looking suspicious. Billy and Chris greet other guests.

Chris: I’m the one for a “good time call”

Billy : Phone’s blowing up, ringing my doorbell

Cut to Tommy and Carrie standing to the side talking. Carrie speaks
passionately whilst Tommy stares at Carrie with admiration.

Tommy : I feel the love, feel the love

Xavier and Holly (Everyone on drink): 1,2,3,1,2,3, drink x3

Everyone encouraging her to drink whilst she kindly denies until

Tommy hands her one.

Carrie : Throw 'em back till I lose count

Everyone: Chandelier chorus

Cut to villains standing by drinks.

Billy : As soon as she lets it out, we run. We don’t stick around for the
laughs or the screams or anything. All right? You got it? Are you
listening? Hey!

Chris: What?

Billy : When you get near her-

Chris : what’s happening?

Billy : You’re dropping the tablet in her drink and then-

Chris: Shut up I can’t see her.

Holly calls for the attention of everyone.
Holly : Guys! I know you all wanna continue getting drunk and
making bad decisions but we just wanted to thank you guys for
coming. We-

Xavier interrupts her. He’s disheveled and obviously intoxicated.

Xavier : Ladies and gentlemen, I think we can all agree that was one
of the best prom’s ever. It had everything, from spiked punch to
surprise hookups even one of the most controversial Prom King and
Queen wins in Ewen high history.

Holly : Hey dumbass, didn’t your mom tell you it’s rude to interrupt?
You’re obviously drunk, shut up, and let me speak before you
embarrass us both.

Billy : If you get caught and you say anything about what we did, I
will kill you. This isn’t what you bitches did in the shower, this is
criminal assault. There’s still the chance she’d black out from this.

Chris : I know, I get it.

Cut to Carrie and Tommy looking at Xavier uncomfortably whilst

people look around confused . Cut to Sue slowly getting up from her
couch slightly cautious.

Tommy: Hey whatever happens tonight and whatever people say,

you’re queen, okay?

Xavier ignores Holly and pushes her away.

Xavier: See cause what you guys might not know is Carrie and
Tommy aren’t even dating! Tommy belongs to that girl ,Sue Snell.
Who just happens to be enough of a saint to let Carrie have her for
the night.

Tommy and Carrie are shocked whilst people whisper amongst

themselves. Sue moves over to Xavier but stops as she notices the
villains standing near Carrie with something in their hand. They drop
the tablet and Sue notices. She walks over to Dylan with a new
determination.

Sue : Shit

Xavier: I say we give it up to Sue Snell everybody! God knows if I

were in her shoes, I wouldn’t be like that.

Carrie takes a nervous sip of her drink.

Holly: Hey, hey , hey shut up! You’re making everyone

uncomfortable-

Chris (to Billy) : (chuckles) maybe we didn’t have to humiliate this

bitch after all, it looks like Xavier is doing all that already.

Billy : Not like Holly’s doing anything else to help make the situation
better.

Xavier notices a distraught Sue and storm over to her.

Sue : Xavier, Xavier you need to stop! Listen to me Chris is-

Dylan : Uh oh, looks like we have a jealous girlfriend

Sue : Listen, you dick head you need to kick Chris and Billy out of this
party right now. They’re trying to hurt Carrie-
Xavier: What did you say? Kick Carrie and Chris out? Is that what you
want?

Holly : What the fu-

Sue : What the actual hell is wrong with you?

Sue walks over to Carrie

Sue : Carrie i-

Carrie : Sue what are you doing here? I thought you were doing this
for me. I thought you wanted to be friends. Why are you-

Carrie’s sentence cuts off as she begins to gag. She tries to speak but
gags again until she vomits on herself. People loom around her in
shock and disgust. Chris and Billy stifle their laughter and Tommy
stares at her shocked. Students begin laughing whilst Sue looks
appalled. Piano instrumental for Chandelier begins again.

Carrie and Students :

Carrie runs out the bathroom whilst pushing past people. Cut to
opening scene of her washing the puke.

Carrie : Sun is up, I'm a mess. Gotta get out now, gotta run from this. Here comes the
shame, here comes the shame
Music builds up as Carrie breaks down crying. Tommy and Sue bang
against the door after realizing she’s been in there for a while. Whilst
this happens pre-chorus and chorus is playing. Tommy and Sue call
for Dylan to unlock the door. Everything stops and Sue lets out a
horrifying scream.
Carries hums the last chrous of Chandelier chorus before it cuts to
black and an ambulance is heard. Helpline numbers appear on
screen.
