DIR-846 11AC 1200M dual band Gigabit wireless router supports 2.4GHz/5GHz wireless
network. The total wireless rate could be at 1200Mbps.

The 802.11ac Wave2 with MU-MIMO wireless technology enhances the bit rate and quality

of wireless communication that makes more connections.

The 2.4GHz wireless net has a wide coverage to support long distance transmission.
The 5Ghz wireless net supports additional 11AC equipment such as smartphones, TV and
tablets, that is fit for high definition videos.

As fiber optic network is widely used , 100M router can't satisfy the demand of high
bandwidth, so only Gigabit router could provide better service.
DIR-846 has a 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet WAN port and four 10/100/1000 Mbps
Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, which makes transmission rate increased by 10 times than 100M
port, and can satisfy 50M, 100M, 200M, 1000M bandwidth.

Six antennas Strong signal

Six non-detachable and omnidirectional antennas (7dBi gain) have less loss of signal,
which provides more wider coverage. The 2.4GHz antennas also have 2T2R separated
antennas with LNA and PA to enhance signal.
Four 2.4GHz antennas and two 5GHz antennas have proper distribution with to make the
coverage increase by 15%.
The antenna height is 20cm，that gets wider coverage and stronger capability.

MU-MIMO Faster Speed

Multi-user, multiple-input, multiple-output technology—better known as MU-MIMO (a.k.a.
Next-Gen AC or AC Wave 2)—allows a Wi-Fi router to communicate with multiple devices
simultaneously.

This decreases the time each device has to wait for a signal and dramatically speeds up
your network. Considering that the average household has upwards of eight devices battling for
bandwidth simultaneously, MU-MIMO will increasingly improve your WiFi experience.

Beamforming Better service

Most of the products will send signals all around the router which make signals are same in

all directions , but using the beam forming router could detect the location of client , and send

all signals to this direction.

Self-learning password Faster and convenience

DIR-846 can learn the PPPOE account and password from the old-router conveniently,

and then automatically connect to the internet.
