1. J. B. Ronks is a marketing manager at your company. He is teaching an introductory


marketing course at a local college one evening a week and needs a concise explanation of the
“what and why of aggregate planning.” Because of your knowledge of operations management,
he has sent you an email asking for your help. Compose an email providing the explanation
Ronks needs.

2. Your immediate supervisor, Rhonda Waters, has raised the possibility of switching from a
chase demand strategy to a level-capacity strategy for aggregate planning and wants your
opinion on the merits of one versus the other. Compose an email to her on this matter.
