Phiilippines Culture

Singing – Filipinos are known around the world for their passion in singing. Well not all of the Filipinos
are good in singing but they love singing more than anybody.

Catholic – When someone is in trouble, the Filipinos tend to help each other because they believe that it
is their duty to help another. Bayanihan are mostly seen in times of crises.

Smile – As the famous motto says “It’s more fun in the Philippines” that’s why Filipinos always smile
whenever there’s a chance. In times of calamities, Filipinos don’t give up, instead they smile and think
that everything will be over and they will comeback to their normal life.

Eating – Filipino’s love to eats rice, not just 1 cup of rice but many cups of rice. It is almost impossible to
see a Filipino who doesn’t eat rice. In fact, most of the Filipinos mix it with anything, cause they just love
rice. Also, Filipinos love to eat barehanded.

Hospitable – When someone visit them, they tend to give the visitors a very welcome approach.
Sometimes when they have nothing like money, they will borrow to someone just to make the visitors
more comfortable.

Ecuador Culture

Formal – When eating, in equador, they always use and knife and fork, even for pieces of fruit. They
also do handshake as a greeting. It was the most popular greeting form in Ecuador.

Spanish – Their main language is Spanish. Unlike in the here in the Philippines most of them don’t know
how to speak in English.

Catholic – 75-80% percent of the people religion there are roman catholic. The Filipino are also 75-80%
roman catholic.

Soccer – The most popular sports in Ecuador is soccer. While here in the Philippines basketball is the
most popular sport.

Family – Extended Family also exist in Ecuador. Ecuadorians rely also heavily in neighbors. Also because
of the Catholism they make their compadres or the couples who serve as grandparents to each other’s
children.

CATHOLIC – because of Spanish colonization the filipinos are mostly catholic.

The country I want to visit in the future is Japan

- They don’t speak well in English but they can if they try. Since most of Japanese locals speak better
than they admit. But it is important to speak to them slowly.

- The people in Japan values etiquette, it is held as the highest esteem. Make sure that you know how to
say thank you, please, excuse me.

- In some restaurants, it is a must to remove your shoes before entering. Also in some dressing rooms
too.

- Always speak quietly in public in Japan. It is extremely important to them the share space of others, so
it is better to keep your voice minimum in public. It is high appreciated.

- Pointing at people and things are rude. Greeting on public a friendly “hello”, eating or drinking on
public and snapping photos of people without their permission are also a big NO to Japan.

- The people of Japan made them one of the safest country to visit in the whole world.

- Japan is a fan of tradional sports like Sumo, Karate and Kendo.

BUSINESS CULTURE

- From their perspective, a customer is a God. Because it brings the benefit of keeping customers happy
and maintaining healthy mutual relations.

- Silence is important. They believe that “silence is golden”. When a Japanese faced conflicts during
meetings they tend to remain silent because in that way it will give them a chance to move away from
problems. For them silence is a mark of wisdom and appropriately formal for business settings in
country.
