Task #3 TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF OUTCOMES IN OBE

Process Questions
What are the two types of outcomes in Outcome-Based Education (OBE)? Provide
examples for each type.

- The two types of outcomes in Outcome-Based Education(OBE) are Immediate

outcomes and Deferred outcomes. Some examples of immediate outcomes
are skills in story-telling, mathematical problem solving, and ability to produce
literary works. Examples of deferred outcomes are promotion in a job and
awards and recognition.
How do the immediate outcomes differ from deferred outcomes in Outcome-Based
Education (OBE)?
- Immediate outcomes are competencies/skills gained after completing a
subject, a grade level, a program segment, or the entire program. For Deferred
outcomes denote to the ability to use cognitive, psychomotor, and affective
skills/competencies in a variety of settings many years after a subject, grade
level, or degree program has been completed.

Do you find any significance in dealing with the different types of outcomes in OBE in
your life as a teacher-education student? Why?

- Yes, as a teacher-education the significance in dealing with the different types

of outcomes in OBE in my life is the OBE gives me advantages on how to
handle students. It helps me to measure the outcomes of my students rather
than the inputs, like how many hours will the students spend in the class. In
addition, in dealing with it I can be determined if my learners achieved the
learning outcomes as well as measuring student performance like outcomes at
different levels
