II. Findings
Through our SCADA monitoring, we noticed that even during non-
operational hours, each of our string combiner boxes still registers DC voltage. This
was true for our two, 2.5 MVA-type inverter stations. We confirmed this by taking
on-site voltage reading of our SCBs. For testing, we opened one QS main DC ACB
and read ~200V. At closed condition, we read a bus voltage of ~800V. This suggests
that the voltage present at our SCBs during desynch time is coming from the
inverter stations. We counter checked by reading the voltage at SCB level and we
were able to confirm the same results.
