Write an essay about a famous historical figure who inspires you. Explain why.

There are many people around the globe who have made history. Among them is one
person who inspires me greatly due to his steadfastness, his loyalty, and his love for his
people. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25th, 1876 and nobody knew at
that time that history will remember this person as the founder of Pakistan.

He grew to become a successful lawyer and later made his name in the field of politics.
In whatever field he was, he was a man of principles. He told the Muslim community the
real meaning of steadfastness and self-esteem. He fought for their rights in every way
possible and never succumbed to the pressure laid onto him by the British and the
Hindu community.

His sacrifices for the nation were limitless. Being a serious patient of tuberculosis, he
never told anyone about his illness, for he was afraid that his weakness might affect his
cause: His sincerity for his cause made him take his health for granted. He united the
people to ask for independence and it is only due to his untiring efforts that we live in a
country that's our own.

It is only due to his charismatic personality that Gandhi, his major opponent, called him" an
impossible man". Jinnah stood firm in all his decisions. The tough times he faced during his
struggle never wavered his dedication. He once said, "Think a hundred times before you make
a decision, but once that decision is taken, stand by it as one man."

All these aspects of his life are a great learning for the whole world. His life clearly demonstrates
that it is only our will that make impossible things occur and it is only our determination that can
overcome all the hurdles. In a colony where Muslims didn't have a say, Jinnah made an
independent country, proving that nothing is impossible. To this day, Jinnah is an ideal of many
and I consider myself as one of his students, learning from his life, his dedication, and his
sincerity.
