What does it mean to be human?

That means be an embodied spirit who, thinks, acts, speaks, desires.

Is there such a thing as the self?

Yes! For me the self is that spark, that energy that we radiate. The thing that makes us what
we are, something simple but yet complex because we cannot see it, just feel it. Something
that just you can really feel.

Can we really ever know the other?

No matter how long or how intimately you know someone, you can never truly know them,
not entirely

Is how we interact with others what makes us human?

No, the fact that we interact with other humans does not make us human. What makes us
human is that we are not perfect in any way, therefore, we are sinners and make mistakes. We
lie, steal, kill, and hurt, and so on. However just because we make mistakes because we are
not perfect, proves that we are human. Another important factor is that we Humans have the
5 senses. No other creature on Earth have those 5 senses which are: Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste,
and Touch. We were made by God uniquely in his own image. That's what makes us human.

Has what it means to be human been changed/ shaped by technologies such as the
internet?
Yes, what means to be a human has been shape by technology because every day there
is a new concept of how we should act or how we should think or live, of how we do
things?

What can discoveries in neuroscience tell us about what it is to be human?

Neuroscience may be able to make extremely important contributions to child
development by building on repeated demonstrations that differences in neural activity
patterns precede and predict differences in cognitive performance. It understands the
circuits and patterns of neural activity that give rise to mental processes and behavior.
