ARGAN OIL

Description
ARGAN OIL is a clear, yellow colored oil obtained from the kernels of the endemic argan tree
(Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil) for cosmetic use. Being a natural product it displays natural color
shade variations depending on crop rotation and seasonal weather patterns. It contains 80%
unsaturated fatty acids and is exceptionally rich in natural tocopherols, phenols, phenolic acid
and carotenes and is preservative free with a low odor. The product is virgin deodorized.

Stability and storage

ARGAN OIL may be stored for at least 24 months from the date of manufacture in the unopened
original container protected from light in a clean place and at a temperature between 15 and
25°C. The ‘Best use before’ date is printed on the label. Keep package tightly closed. Once
opened, use contents quickly. In order to avoid secondary microbial contamination, following
opening, containers should be handled with special care.

ARGAN OIL

Uses
ARGAN OIL is a natural oil for use in cosmetic products. It can be processed either warm (<
60°C) or cold and is incorporated into the oily phase of a cosmetic formulation. In skin care
ARGAN OIL is intended to be used in emulsions for face or body care, or in oils. The
recommended use level is 1-3%.In hair care applications, ARGAN OIL can be formulated clear in
aqueous products such as Shampoos, but can be also used in Treatments, Hair Serums, Hair
Colorants, Styling Sprays (Aerosol and Non-Aerosol), Gels, Mousses, Creams, Pomades and leave-
on Conditioners. The recommended use level in shampoos is 0,1% and in conditioners 0,5%.
