ADOLESCENCE (MODULE 1)

In this module I learned that Adolescence can be a challenging time for anyone. One of the reasons
is, it so hard it’s because it is a time of rapid physical development and deep emotional changes.
These are exciting, but can also be confusing and uncomfortable.
And after I encounter this lesson, I start to appreciate the difficult nature of problems. I am able to
think how present-day actions can impact the future, and make decisions to protect my future
interests.

I discover myself that I have a desire to make myself totally independent. Independence can help
me to increase my self-value and self-esteem, being independent provides me the
ability to maneuver in society and mingle with people and make choices that have more to do with
my values. Another is, take responsibility for myself. Taking responsibility puts me at choice and
that allows me to choose how to respond to life’s challenges, and taking responsibility for my
thoughts, feelings, words and actions. I can say that I take responsibility when I accept that the
thoughts I have, are my thoughts coming from my mind.

I think learning about myself, my identity, and my worth is very important in the adolescent years.
And the thing I have learned is that I need to keep working on myself harder. This has been so
meaningful to me. The harder I work on myself, the better I become. I also learned who I am today
and shape my identities in relation to others around me, peers, family and other. Even often, mental
health problems first emerge during this tumultuous time.

UNIQUENESS (MODULE2)
On this module, it is about uniqueness that every person has its own. A trait that no one can take
away from a person. The quality of being the only one of its kind. A unique that assures a person a
special place and special worth on his own.
This lesson enlightened me that I’m unique when I find my own strengths and capabilities.
Being unique is what makes me different than others. Uniqueness can come in many different
ways. I can be unique based on my talent, personality, achievements, qualities and others.
I notice that my true strength and beauty is my own uniqueness because there is only ME. I find my
unique self, within my existence, just spend some time, energy and attention on growing and
becoming myself and who I really are and stand for it.
Being my self enables me to pass on optimism and positive energy, which forms good life habits to
the people in my circle. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, so give the respect to others that I
wish to be given to me as well. I owe it to myself to live up to the truest version of me. And this is
the lesson that I learned from this module.
THOUGHTS, FEELINGS, ACTIONS AND BEHAVIOR (CBT) (MODULE 3)
On this topic which is the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The
thoughts about the facts of the situation, those thoughts trigger feelings, and based on
those feelings we engage in behaviors which in turn impact the situation (either positively or
negatively), and the cycle continues.

This lesson reminds me to be aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so I can view challenging
situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. And I realize that awareness
will enable one to take actions, and make choices and decisions that are consistent with my own
abilities.

And I discover that my self is getting better when I’m doing self-reflection to inform myself about
my decisions, actions, behaviors and interaction with other people. It helps me to build a strong
mindset to avoid mistakes.

We know that we all deal with negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and we all find it
sometimes difficult to encourage ourselves to take the action required to change our troubling
mindset and replace it with a better, more positive outlook. So, there is CBT(Cognitive behavioral
therapy) that emphasizes the relationship between our thoughts, our feelings, and our behaviors.

DEVELOPING THE WHOLE PERSON (MODULE 4)

This topic is about developing the whole person, it is a progressive process through which the
intellectual, physiological, cognitive, psychological, social and spiritual capacities of
an individual can be holistically enhanced. The components are physiological, spiritual, social,
psychological, and cognitive. Focusing on these five aspects of Whole Person Development allows a
person to live a balanced and successful life.

After this lesson, I begin to choose to do something kind for myself and/ or someone
else. Being kind to myself means not judging myself harshly for not being perfect. And
it means putting an end in comparing myself to others for not being good enough at something.
Also it's easier to be kind to other people when I internalize the sentiment. When I am kind to
myself despite making a mistake, I can project this mindset towards others. I become more
understanding person when I allow myself the same courtesy.

We are responsible for our own development. Other people might contribute to the process, but it
is up to us to ensure that we are growing, learning, and becoming better each day. It is our
responsibility to seek out resources, ask questions, and find inspiration. This is the lesson I learned
from this module.
DEVELOPMENTAL TASK (MODULE 5)

A developmental task is one that arises predictably and consistently at or about a certain period in
the life of the individual.

This lesson helps me to enable my independent thought and independent action. I really
understand now that  during midlife I have to relate to, achieving my responsibilities, maintaining a
standard of living, assisting myself with the transition into adulthood, and adjusting to the
physiological changes of middle age, and developing a mature set of values. To develop an outlook
toward life based on what is important, which is it helps to conduct hope and enthusiasm.

Developmental task is the main role in an individual is to establish a stable identity and become
complete and productive adults. The ability to think abstractly and to visualize possible
situations. This developmental task is presented in this series to serve as a road map of what
to expect from adolescent to adulthood. Using this road map, can support adolescents on their
journey toward becoming competent adults.

ENCOURAGEMENT and DECLARATION (MODULE 6)

This encouragement teach me to outweigh criticism and build strong self-confidence, effort,
motivation, success, self-esteem and validation. In fact, living life with a certain amount of
vulnerability and transparency requires courage and confidence on the inside even when it’s
embarrassing to do so.

I notice myself that I can’t control everything that happens to me, but I can control the way I
respond to what happens. In my response is my power because I am the guardian of my mind, body,
and soul and I protect myself from negativity. No darkness can dim my light. I am always doing my
best, and my best is always getting better. I am strong enough and wise enough to grow from my
pain.

Sometimes, the things we need most in a particular season of life are hidden in packages that are
hardly obvious and sometimes even offensive to us. But I think that’s the point. I think God has a
way of positioning us for growth and progress that at times goes against the grain of familiarity,
comfort, and our beloved “have it your way” course of living, especially when it’s so easy to hide
behind facades. The challenge therein is to be willing to abandon our personal biases about
situations.
Being RESPONSIBLE (MODULE 7)

Being responsible in every aspect of my life is developing my potential. I think things through and
use good judgement before taking action. This topic makes me to be responsible which is I’m slowly
regaining. I’m being more positive because a responsible person is being positive and solution
focused. It is not about a sign of weakness to take responsibility from my mistake but it is a sign of
supreme confidence. In the way that I made a mistake but I’m confident enough to rectify it.
Positive belief leads to positive action and better outcomes. And I find that I am more likely to solve
problems quickly because a better outcomes is in my hand.

And being responsible means you do what is expected and accept the results of your actions. And
confidence comes after action, when you are responsible in life you keep building your confidence
as you continuously improve the outcomes. Now, I learned a lot about being responsible.

MENTAL HEALTH (MODULE 8)

After I tackled this lesson, it enlightened me that in this serious case (mental health issues)that I’m
experiencing now, I need to open up my situation in my family and to my closest friend which is I
only say it sometimes, the reason is I don’t want them to worry. But after I read this topic, I realized
that I should tell them what is happening with me to reduce my emotions and I need their help and
they give it too to overcome this illness and it works.

I found out that telling those feelings or emotions, the thoughts that is always in my head that
makes me to lose sleep makes me relieve. Simply talking to them sympathetic can reduce my stress
level and improve my mood. It reminds me that I’m not struggling alone and they are always with me.

So, talking openly about mental health issues, including mental illness, can help break down these
barriers. It is highly important to raise mental health awareness since young people are seriously
affected by mental health issues every day. They need a system they can rely on and a source of
information to guide them through the process of dealing with their inner issues.

STRESSOR (MODULE 9)

On this lesson, it teach me to be capable in handling my stressors. Like what the modules said that
Stress is found to be a component to heart disease, diabetes, ulcers, and impotence. So, managing
stress can mean a longer, happier, and healthier life.

This lesson have a big impact on myself, I have now the ability to manage my stress. I can now
understand the causes and effects of stress as well as how to identify my own stressors and ways to
properly manage my stress. When I manage my stress, I experience less frustration with life’s
challenges, decreased worries about the future and have an improved sense of well-being.

Stress are extremely painful, but if we can keep the faith, keep moving forward and we will come to
see that meant for our harm, will soon turn directly in our favour. Have courage. Hence, stress
teach us that we are capable of surviving what was meant for us destruction.
COPING MECHANISM (MODULE 10)

In this module, I gain to learn new skills and adapt to change. The ability to tolerate, minimize, and
deal with stressful situations in my life. Also, it help me to manage difficult emotions.

I notice myself that every time I’m having a problem, I more concentrate on the solution because
when I focus on the possibilities I’ll have more opportunities. It reduces stress. I learned also to face
my emotions head on, it soothe me and help me to tolerate my distress. I also started to create a
plan that will help me to know what action I am going to take.

Our mental health plays an important role in one’s life, as well as how we deal with stress that can
negatively impact us. There are all kinds of possible difference when it comes on how we
individuals manage painful or difficult emotions, and what we do to regain a better mindset when
times get rough. The more coping skills we obtain to deal with changes, the more likely we are to
maintain a healthier lifestyle and overall better mental well-being.

THE POWER OF THE MIND: THE WHOLE BRAIN THEORY (MODULE 11)

On this lesson, I have the realization that the whole brain theory is provide for us to improved
understanding and insight, it acknowledges that different tasks require different mental processes,
and different people prefer different kinds of thinking. It was clear to me now that it is a model of
learning where learners learn a concept by using parts of the brain and not just left or the right
brain.

Everybody has these quadrants, it advocates that we all have a preferred way of thinking. I ensures
that me a learner are using the stronger side of my brain, while also challenging and exercising the
less dominant sides of my brain.

The Whole Brain model is to illustrate that each person's brain basically has four quadrants when it
comes to the process of thinking and learning. Each of these quadrants are characterized by
different learning or thinking styles.

WAYS IN IMPROVING BRAIN FUNCTIONS (MODULE 12)

On this module, I learned to start a new routine and forget the old habits. I realized that I should
avoid the bad habits that I’m doing lately because it doesn’t help my mental health and my
development. It’s better to care for myself instead of ruining it.

Lately, I’m improving, the reason is I’m doing what is best and good for me. I’m now free from
worries because I’m doing so much activities that can relax my brain. I am more spending ME
time. Also, I’m exercising my brain to improve my memory and focus plus eating good healthy foods
with some exercise.

It is very important for us to take care of our brain as well as our mental health because when it is
forsaken it can affect the mood, thinking and behaviour. A mental illness can make us miserable and
can cause problems in our daily life. So, we should pay close attention to our brain/ mental health.
It's an important way to help us to protect and improve our mental health and wellbeing.
BRAIN FUNCTION and BRAIN DOMINANCE (MODULE 13)

On this topic enlighten me that my weaknesses and strengths is a process that will allow me to
understand how I can be most effective at what I do, and where I’ll need to improve about myself.

This help me to develop/ identify my strengths and weaknesses. I take a personality test, and I try
new things. I assess myself and ask my family and friends to get input/ opinion from them. And
now, there opinions help me a lot to improve myself and not to be afraid in facing those
weaknesses. And for my strengths it helps me to grow my mindset faster, it tends me to feel more
like moving through day-to-day life.

Knowing our own strengths and weaknesses gives us a better understanding of ourself on how we

improve and assess it. Knowing our weaknesses gives us a clearer understanding of things that may
be holding us back, and we can then work around finding ways to not let our weaknesses pull us
behind.

EMOTIONAL INTELLEGENCE DOMAINS (MODULE 14)

This lesson build me up to know how to manage my feelings (self-awareness), the ability to
understand my feelings. My social-awareness to have empathy. I can now understand the emotions,
needs, and concerns of other people, I feel comfortable socially. Relationship management –I
already know how to develop and maintain good relationships, communicate clearly, inspire and
influence others, and manage conflict. Self-management -I am now able to control impulsive
feelings and behaviors, manage my emotions in healthy ways, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Emotional intelligence helps us build stronger relationships, and achieve our career and personal
goals. It can also help us to connect with our feelings, turn intention into action. Emotional
intelligence can be a key to success in our life. The ability to manage people and relationships is
very important in all leaders, so developing and using our emotional intelligence can be a good way
to show others the leader inside of us.
