Kalimat Nominal (tidak menggunakan kata kerja, tetapi menggunakan kata kerja bantu (auxiliary verb)
dari kelompok to be, diantarany is, am, are, were, was)
Sentence Pattern:
Positif : (+) He/she/I/it + was + Complement
Negatif : (-) We/they/you + were + Complement
Yes – No Question : Was + He/She/I/It + Complement?
Were + We/they/you + Complement?

Kalimat Verbal (menggunakan kata kerja)

Positif : (+) S + Verb 2 + O/ adv
Negatif : (-) S + did not + Verb 2 + O/ adv
Yes – No Question : Did + Subject +Verb 1 + O/adv
WH – Question : Wh question + did + subject + verb 1 + O/adv
