Vision

The OLPSian Times is an independent campus journalism organization of dedicated


student journalists as recognized by the administration of Our Lady of Peace School
(OLPS). The OLPSian Times, being an organization in service of the OLPSian-Paulinian
community, shares in the mission of the school, and ultimately the church to proclaim Jesus
Christ as the Good News to all. Under the guidance of our Creator, the organization
envisions to nurture the community and develop journalists who seek to inform the public,
defend and uphold the truth, and create a society where honesty and integrity reign
supreme.

Mission:
Directed by our vision, we compel ourselves to:
1. Pursue utmost transparency in publishing and distributing current and relevant accurate
information to the OLPSian-Paulinian community through traditional and new media.
2. Anchored on the advocacy of The OLPSian Times, "Onwards To Responsible
Journalism", shares insights in response to current social issues and topics of interest.
3. Increase awareness and appreciation of literature, media, and the values we uphold as a
Catholic Christian community.
4. Train and educate members and the OLPSian-Paulinian community to become
responsible and socially-aware citizens in the grounds of campus journalism.
5. Provide an avenue for the community to showcase literary and creative works [think of
another term] … that would enable them to express their independent views and opinions.
