ALBANIA (1945-1991) Albania after WW2 had become a communist state, led by Enver Hoxha. Hoxhaism was very similar to Stalinism.
Albania was in the Warsaw Pact and Comecon
until 1961, and after this it sought close ties with Maoist China. By 1971, Albania had cut ties to China and the 70s and 80s saw Albania return to full totalitarianism after a break in the 60s.
The years following Hoxha’s death saw
Albanian communism’s slow collapse, which finished in 1992.
