Purpose & Requirements
Purpose:
● Enabling an analyst at BART to understand BART ridership efficiently to
make improvement recommendations; streamlining the workflows
Requirements:
● Visualization of ridership patterns over time
● Special conditions influencing ridership (weather, events, holidays,
accidents, natural disasters, BART incidents/delays)
● Visualization of the correlation between ridership patterns and special
conditions

Name: John Davidson

Job title/major responsibilities: System Performance Analyst

Demographics: 30 years old; Married; Father of two children; Has a B.S. in Economics.

Goals & tasks: He is a focused and goal-oriented team player. One of his concerns is
maintaining quality performance across BART’s operations. Spends his work time: monitoring
data, summarizing findings to stakeholders, and make improvement recommendations.

Environment: He is proficient in using a computer and BI softwares. He uses email and

productivity softwares extensively and uses the computer about 6 hours during his work day.
