IIIT Sonepat Faculty Detailed Advertisement
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sonepat (IIIT Sonepat), which is established under
Public-Private Partnership Scheme by Ministry of Education, Government of India, is an “Institution
of National Importance” under the provisions of Indian Institute of Information Technology (Public-
Private Partnership) Act, 2017.
Currently Institute is offering Under Graduate programs in Computer Science & Engineering and
Information Technology. Masters and Research programs are proposed to be introduced in upcoming
academic sessions.
Shortly, the Institute will be shifting to its state-of-the-art Permanent Campus proposed to be
developed on sprawling 50 acres(approx.) of land at Village kilorad near Sonepat in Sonepat District.
The Institute is looking for dedicated, committed and research oriented Indian Nationals to fill up the
following vacancies through Direct Recruitment (Four Tier Flexible System) in the Department of
Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Department of Information Technology (IT).

1.The total salary includes Pay in the Pay Level, Transport Allowance, Dearness
Allowance, HRA/Accommodation and NPS-Employer’s contribution as per GOI rules from
time to time.

Note: -For Faculty positions in CSE, IT and ECE candidates not having Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or
Technology are not eligible to apply.
Area of Specialization/Subjects:
The following areas of specialization/subjects shall be acceptable:
Apart from teaching fundamental core and elective subjects, Indian Institute of Information
Technology, Sonepat expects active contribution of its Faculties towards:
1. Development of IIIT, Sonepat as a Brand in cutting age research related to Information
Technology & Allied Fields.
2. Development of Corpus Funds for the Institute through Testing, Design or Research
Consultancy.
7. Achievement of highest level of prescribed standards required for global competitiveness and
Outcome Based Education (OBE).
b. The Application Fees shall be payable through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “Indian
Institute of Information Technology Sonepat” or “IIIT Sonepat” on any nationalized
payable at Kurukshetra or by NEFT in the following Bank Account (Attach Receipt):
c. Candidates are required to write his/her name, contact number and the post applied for on
back side of the Demand Draft or NEFT Receipt, and must attached it with the prescribed
application form.
The Self- attested copies of following documents are required to be attached with the
Application Form failing which the application shall not be evaluated and shall stands
summarily rejected:
1. The hard copy of the Prescribed Application Form duly signed on all the pages.
2. 10th Standard Certificate.
3. Graduation Mark-Sheets for all years.
4. Graduation Degree Certificate.
5. Master’s Degree & Mark-Sheets for all semesters.
6. PhD Award Certificate / Provisional Award Certificate (Notification).
7. NOC from the Current Employer.
8. Service Certificate for all the previous employments, issued by cadre controlling
authority with consisting of all the designations, pay- scales, type of employment etc.
9. Valid caste certificate for EWS/ OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PWD Certificate (wherever
applicable) issued in the current Financial Year only as per Central Government Format.
10. Proof of any other claim like Publication in Journals, Research Project Grants etc.
11. Original Documents and Id Proof would have to be produced during the Documentation
Verification Process to be undertaken on the date of Interview failing which the
Candidate may not be allowed to appear for the Selection Process.

maximum of 10 Credit Points.
3 PhD Completed (including 8 Credit Points per PhD Student (in case there are more
Thesis submitted Cases) than one supervisor, then the Guide (1st Supervisor) gets 5
Credit Points per Student and the rest to be divided
equally among other supervisors.
4 One Journal Papers in Science 4 Point per Paper since last promotion. First Author or
Citation Index (SCI/SCIE) or Scopus Main Supervisor will get 2 point and rest will be divided
among others.
5 One Conference paper indexed in 1 credit points per paper up to a maximum of 10 credit
Science Citation Index/expanded or points. First author or Main Supervisor will get 0.6 and
Scopus or Web of science Conference rest will be divided among the rest.
