NARRATIVE REPORT

Plan Training Session

To determine the training needs of trainees, they must accomplish the Form 1.1 which
is the Self-Assessment Check and the Form 1.2 which is the Evidence/Proof of current
competencies. The trainer may be able to identify the Training Gaps.

Adults learn differently as compared to our students. There are

principles to be considered in adult learning. One Principle is Learner
Orientation. Adult learners must be comfortable with the lessons; they must feel that their
lessons are relevant and will be useful, otherwise the student’s learner is more on exploring the
new learning.

Another Principle is Experience. The new experience is compared with their past
experiences. They may ask themselves if there is a difference of the new lesson to what
they know.

Orientation to learning is also a principle applied to adults not only to the students.
They want their learning always to be practical on their part.

Learning events in the session plan is sequenced based on the hierarchy of learning.
Contents of the lesson are arranged from simple to complex. The flow is as follows: verbal
information; intellectual skills; cognitive strategies; attitudes; and motor skills.

The purpose of preparing evidence plan is to give the trainer a guide in determining the
method of assessment to be used.
