Questionnaire Critique – Group 5

PROS
1. Section Segmentation is done right, gives clear idea to the respondent.
2. Due to the fact that the questionnaire was written in two languages, the language barrier
was decreased.
3. There are a lot of options to help the respondent with suggestive recalling.
4. Section 2: Ques 17 - The questions are direct, comprehensive, and won't take up much of
the respondent's time.
5. Section 5: Pictorial – This makes the survey more interesting.
CONS
1. Section 1 : Screening
a. “Do you prefer to drink packed juices?” If the answer is no, we'll need to ask a
follow-up inquiry to figure out why.
2. Section 2 :
a. Ques 4 The questionnaire is very long.
b. Ques 4 The options for scaling do not correspond to the questions that are being
asked.
Like – “I read the ingredients mentioned on the pack” should have these
options Rarely/Neutral/Frequently
c. Ques 4 Some questions can be combined to get generic answers. Like
i. I eat a lot of greens (spinach, methi) and vegetables
ii. I take regular health check-ups.
This will help you avoid asking the same questions over and over again.
d. Ques 4: “I like the challenge of doing something new”, should be articulated as –
“I like the challenge of trying something new”
e. Ques 6: Ranking can be used instead of rating. As a result, the respondent will not
choose the same option again.
f. We need to keep the inquiries flowing. If you're inquiring about product
preferences, for example, the next inquiry should be about their desired SKU.
g. Ques 12,17 : The scale must be consistent throughout the survey - 1: Least, 7:
Most (Low to High)
h. Ques 20: More options could be given
i. Added preservatives
ii. High Price
iii. I only prefer natural juices, not packaged
3. Section 5:
a. The size of the packs should be provided to the respondent in order for them to
offer a price.
b. A few unimportant questions that the respondent might be hesitant to answer,
such as:
i. Do you own a home?
ii. Education of Chief Wage Earner (Father / Mother / Spouse)?
