NARRATOR: Sun was down, the moon was out and the stars were
dancing in the night sky. A (lastname) family was preparing for dinner.
*sound effects of plates and glasses*

1st Scene
MAMA: psst…. Oy ali namo diri kay manihapon na..
*evangeling and lavinia chattering*
MAMA: jane, tawga na imong mga igsuon kay wala naminaw tsk
JANE: *footsteps effect* psst hoi, the food is ready and mom is waiting
*evange and vinia ignores*
Narrator: jane abruptly grabs their phone
ANGIE AND VINIA: hey!
VINIA: The hell?!
JANE: don’t wait for mom to be the one to drag you two
Narratar: Angie stood up and went to the dining room, vinia on the other
hand did not move an inch from her place on the couch.
JANE: what are u waiting for?
VINIA: Ugh! Give me my phone first.
JANE : cant you live without your just for a few minutes?!
VINIA: and cant you live without minding someone elses business?!
Narrator: Vinia then stood up and snatches her phone from janes hand
and stomped her way to the dining table
*stomping noises*

2nd Scene
----short pause------
*sounds of plates and utensils clinking*
MAMA: Can someone please turn on the TV?
*sounds of turning on the TV*
*News intro sounds*
Reporter: Magandang Gabi sa inyong lahat! Kaninang alas 3 ng hapon,
binigyang diin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pangangailangan na
"i-doble" ang pagsisikap ng gobyerno na ihinto ang paglaganap ng iligal
na droga sa bansa.
Sa kanyang paunang naitalang “Talk to the People”, na naihatid noong
Biyernes ng gabi, ngunit naipalabas noong Sabado ng umaga, binago ni
Duterte ang kanyang pangako na ipagpatuloy ang kanyang walang tigil
na kampanya laban sa talamak na kalakalan ng ecstasy.

MAMA: Mao na kamong tulo ha, ayaw jud mo pag drugs drugs babayi r
aba kayo mo na
JANE: mom you don’t have to worry about that, We would never!
MAMA: never never pa ka, bantay lagi!
ANGIE: ma, wala pa lagi si papa gabie na kaayo.
*sound effect of door slamming open*
VINIA: speaking of the devil…
NARRATOR: The only male of the family, the father, tumbles in the
room slurring his words.
PAPA: (in a drunk voice) oi *hiccups* naa akong mga gwapa nga mga
anak.
NARRATOR: The father went to his daughters to kiss their foreheads as
a greeting.
VINIA: gosh what is that smell?! ew! Get away from me!
PAPA: *laughs drunkly*
MAMA: late na sad ka ni uli nya hubog pa jud!
Narrator: her husband attempted to hug but she pushed him away.
*effects of an abrupt slam on the table *
PAPA: (in a drunk aggressive voice) unsa man imong problema!
Nganong perminte man kang suko, halos kada uli nalng nako!
NARRATOR: Jane ushered quickly her shocked siblings out of the
room while their parents aggressively argued among themselves.
MAMA: Di mo ba naririnig sarili mo?! Di k aba nahihiya sa mga anak
mo?! Gabi gabi ka nalang ganyan. Wala ka Pang ginagawang mabuti
para sa pamilya mo, tapos magawa mo pang mag reklamo?!

NARRATOR: little did they know that their children was watching them
argue from the corner of the room, leaving them traumatized.
*school bell*
TEACHER: Now after reading the R.A 9165 or The

know discuss its importance. It is important because it is the policy of
the State to safeguard the integrity of its territory and the well-being of
its citizenry particularly the youth, from the harmful effects of dangerous
drugs on their physical and mental well-being, and to defend the same
against acts or omissions detrimental to their development and
preservation.
*School bell rings*
Teacher: let us continue the discussion tomorrow. Class dismiss.
*students chatters *
Narrator: Vinia with a biscuit on her hand walks out of the school, about
to go home but decided through first her trash on a nearby bin. When she
was about to leave, she stepped on something. Picking it up she looks at
it with curiosity. It looks like a candy to her.
FREND: I didn’t know into that too! If you told me sooner, I would have
given you more.
VINIA: its not actually mine, I just picked it up earlier. Whats so special
about this anyway? Its just one of those ordinary candies that street
vendors sell.
FREND: gurl… are you serious?! You don’t know what this is? It’s the
trend nowadays. This is ecstasy.
VINIA: ecstasy?
FREND: yes gurrll.. this is not just an ordinary candy. It can alter time
and space and also gives you pleasure.
VINIA: are you saying that this is a drug? Isn’t this illegal
FREND: well its not illegal if you wont tell anyone. I see youre curious,
wanna try?
VINIA: they say curiosity killed the cat.
FREND: Well yes… but satisfaction brought it back (in a sing song
voice) common it won’t hurt to try one.
NARRATOR: Vinia eventually tried one and got addicted to it. She has
been using ecstasy for months now. It caused her to be irritable, have
sleeping problems, nausea, and impulsive and aggressive behavior. The
drug not only affected physically and emotionally, but also mentally
which cause her to have bad performance in school making her grades
drop.
