INTRODUCTION

In this work we will talk about how the life of Neymar Da Silva Santos Junior
was and is, he is a great footballer, he currently plays for the Paris Saint Germain
(PSG) team, as well as he plays for the Brazilian team (a team where with him
which has won several trophies), currently, is within the top 5 of the best soccer
players worldwide; Furthermore, he is a successful businessman. We will also
talk about the player's personal life and the clubs he has been to.

In this work we will use the topics developed in the different basic English
sublevels, using mostly the present simple, the present continuous and the verb
to-be.

PROCESS
1. Biography:
Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior was born in Mogi das
Cruzes, São Paulo, Brazil. He is the son of Neymar
Santos Sr. and Nadine Santos. His father was also a
footballer and became an advisor to his son. He has a
sister named Rafaella Beckran and a son named Davi
Lucca da Silva Santos, whom he had at age 19. During
his childhood, Neymar developed his love for football
thanks to "futsal" and "street football", he declares several times that futsal helped
him develop his techniques and skills to dribble in small spaces.
In 2003 he moved with his family to São Vicente, where he began to play for the
youth divisions of “Portuguesa Santista”. Then, in 2003, he moved to Santos,
where he signed for “Santos FC”. With the money earned from his successes in
the youth categories, he and his family bought a house next to “Vila Belmiro”,
the club's stadium. His quality of family life improved, since, at 15 years old, he
earned 10,000 reais a month and at 16 years old, 125,000. At 17 years, he signed
his first professional contract and was promoted to the first team, in addition to
beginning to sign his first contracts with sponsors.

3. Career achievements:
Neymar emerged from the Santos youth ranks,
where he made his professional debut at age 17.
Considered one of the most promising youth
players in the world, he won three “Paulista
Championships” in a row, a “Brazil Cup”, and
a “Libertadores Cup”, where he was top scorer
and best player in the tournament.
In Brazil, he became known for his flashy dribbles, having won the “Puskás
Award” in 2011, and the “Footballer of the Year in South America” in 2011 and
2012.
In 2013, he was transferred to F.C Barcelona, where he formed a remembered trio
in attack with Argentine Lionel Messi and Uruguayan Luis Suárez. Together, they
achieved the treble, obtaining “La Liga”, “La Copa del Rey”, and “The 2014-15
UEFA Champions League”, where Neymar was the top scorer (along with Messi)
and author of a goal in the final against Juventus. Thanks to this, he managed to
come out third in the voting for the Ballon d'Or 2015.
In 2016 he obtained the double, and in 2017, after being essential for Barcelona's
comeback to Paris Saint-Germain, he would be transferred in the summer to the
Parisian team for 222 million euros, becoming the most expensive transfer in
football history. In the 2019-20 season he won all the domestic titles and guided
the team to their first Champions League final.

4. Hobbies:
Neymar has two favorite hobbies, the Póker and the videogames.
4.1. Póker

Neymar's favorite hobby is poker. After


finishing his soccer career he will play
poker tournaments, also travel to play in the
tournaments that he has always wanted to
participate in and has never been able to
because of his schedule. He is a great poker
player. Some of his soccer friends are also
poker players.
4.2. Video games

Neymar has video games as one of his


hobbies, in his free time he plays many
hours. His favorite games are Grand Theft
Auto, Counter Strike: Global Offensive,
and FIFA. He usually plays and broadcasts
his videos on social networks, but right now
his schedule is full for his soccer matches.

5. Family members:
His family is comformed of his father Neymar Santos that
carries the same name. He is 56 years old his mother
Nadine Goncalves. She is 54 years old, his sister Rafaella
Santos. She is 24 years old and his only son is named Davi
Lucca. He was 10 years old when he had him at age 19
with his ex-partner Carolina Dantas.

CONCLUSIONS

1. In conclusion, Neymar's life was a life of suffering and later of joy and
triumph.
2. All people can achieve their dreams with effort and dedication.
3. Despite the obstacles and mistakes they can see in life, no one has to stop if
they want to meet or reach a goal.
4. We all deserve to be happy and we can deliver.
