For this homework assignment you will identify your top 3 network design goals and provide a high level
strategy of how you will incorporate them into your network design. This assignment is to help you start
thinking about your final project and to create a strategy for design for Dwell hotel.

Task 1: Identify your design goals and high level strategy

You have recently been hired as a network engineer to design the network for a new boutique hotel in
Charlottesville called Dwell. You must first determine your top 3 design goals to help create a strategy
for the hotel. There are many goals to designing a network including performance, speed,
reliability/availability, mobility, scalability, security, cost, and others. Provide a strategy report that will
set the stage for your design goals moving forward on the project. Each of the 3 goals should include
high level details of how they could be incorporated into the network design plan. Each goal should be a
minimum of half a page.
