General

Monitoring
• The Company reserves the right to monitor the content of any and all electronic
and voice communications. Internet usage and the usage of Electronic
Communication Services may be monitored to determine compliance with this
policy. All electronic and voice communications utilizing Electronic Communication
Services are the property of the Company and employees have no privacy interest
in those communications.

• For security, compliance, and maintenance purposes, authorized personnel may


monitor and audit equipment, systems, and network traffic as per the Policy.
Devices that interfere with other devices or Users on the Company network may
be disconnected. Information Security prohibits actively blocking authorized audit
scans.
Firewalls and other blocking technologies must permit access to the scan sources.

Applicability of Other Policies


This document is part of the company's cohesive set of security policies. Other policies
may apply to the topics covered in this document and as such the applicable policies
should be reviewed as needed.

Violations
Policy violations are dealt with on a per incident basis and will be dealt with by IT
Management and/or HR. Disciplinary actions are addressed under the "Enforcement"
section.

Enforcement
This policy will be enforced by the IT security team and the executive team or
company's code of conduct; and should be validated through periodic audit. Violations
may result in disciplinary action, which may include suspension or more severe
penalties up to and including termination of employment. Violations of laws regarding
unlawful access or use may be referred to the appropriate law enforcement officials for
investigation and/or prosecution.
