Industrialization saw the invention of the radio and phonograph that superseded the sheet music
as the predominant way to consume popular songs. Tin Pan Alley fell behind in the technology
and style. Rock and roll emerged during industrialization period contributing to the decline of the
Tin Pan Alley music. Presently, the advancement of film, audio, recoding, television, and radio
has raised the demand for variety of music. As a result, Tin Pan Alley has been rendered
symbolically dead. Consumption of the music by people has turned completely to passive
enjoyment of music.

Throughout establishment of blues genre, topics and themes dealt with the present adversities
