go do something else for a break before
coming back for another round!

USE INCENTIVES
Reward yourself with an incentive or
something to look forward to at the end
of your study day!

GO FROM BIG TO SMALL

Study concepts first and make sure you
understand the big picture, then after
go small and study the facts and details

TEST YOURSELF
Once you have learned the concepts,
try testing yourself. This is a form of
active learning.

HIGHLIGHT
Highlight the important words and key
terms to help make things stick for you.

USE ACTIVE RECALL

Our brains are good at recognizing
information, but not at recollecting. So
practice by testing how well you can
recall the information

ASK FOR HELP

Ask for help understanding the
information if you need it. You can ask
your teacher or ask a friend who takes
good notes as well

TEACHING BACK
Summarize what you have learned by
teaching the info back to someone else.
This will help you solidify your
understanding and identify your gaps

USE MNEMONICS
Mnemonics are great tools to help you
better memorize information. They
include things like acronyms, coined
sayings, and image association
