Why do I need to access the router's web interface?

It is important to learn how to configure advanced settings when accessing the web interface of
the router. Some common configurations that can be done are wireless security for your
network, gaming console, and camera remote ports and manually set the router. What to
remember.

It is recommended to use the hard wiring in your computer to connect to the router when
accessing the router's web interface to ensure stable connection and avoid possible access to
other Links routers in your area.

Note: The LinkSys router has auto-sensing functions, and Down's equipment requires

If you are using a wireless device accessing a web interface, make sure that you can connect to
the Linksys Router` S Wi-Fi before you follow the steps below.

Before accessing the web interface of the router, make sure the router has turned on.

Accessing Web Interface


Note: Images and steps may vary depending on your computer's operating system (OS), or the
models and versions you are using.

Step 1:
Start the web browser and enter "192. 168. 1. 1" in the address bar, then press [Enter]. If the IP
address does not work or has changed, check the router's IP address. For instructions, click

Step 2:
Enter your login credentials in the provided fields. The default password is admin. If you change
or personalize your password, use it.

Note: If you forget your password, you need to reset the router. For instructions, click here.

Step 3:
I know if you have successfully logged in to the web interface, then the following screen should
appear.

Important:
The display screen will appear only when accessing the Web interface of the Linksys Wi-Fi
router. When using new routers and velop, the web interface will have different appearances.

Accessing your Linksys Smart Wifi through Web browser


Linksys Smart Wi-Fi is a free service bundled with the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router. After setting
the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router, you can easily access it if you have an Internet connection with
the Linksys Cloud account, and you can associate the router to it.

Important: To avoid any problems with access to the router using the Linksys Cloud account,

Step 1:
Start the web browser.

Step 2:
Enter the default IP address of the router, "192.168. 1. 1" or type "MyRouter. Local "in the
address bar, then press [ENTER].

Step 3:
Enter the router password, and then click Login. The default password is admin. If you have
changed it, please enter a new password.

Alternatively, you can log in with your Linksys Cloud account. Simply click on the link provided at
the bottom.

Enter your email address and password when you appear on the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi, then click
Login.

Linksys Router Login IP Address
The web interface is a page that you can configure the Linksys Router Settings. The first step to
access this page is to check the locally IP address of the router. Unless changed, your Linksys
router defaults to the local IP address (also known as the default gateway) in 192.168.1. 1. If
you are unable to use this router to access the router, follow these steps to learn how to identify
the correct local IP address.

Before starting: Use the computer connected to the router (using an Ethernet cable or passing
Wi-Fi). If you are using a wired computer, make sure the Ethernet cable is properly connected.
This can be done by checking the light indicator on the LinkSys router. Determine your
computer operating system (OS) and its own version.

For Windows 10 OS
Step 1 -
Click on the search icon on the task bar of your computer

Step 2 -
Now click on the command prompt

Step 3 -
In command prompt enter ipconfig/all then press enter

Step 4 -
Look at the default gateway section you will see the IP address there

NOTE: If you are using a computer that's connected via Wi-F networki, you can identify the Default
Gateway under the Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection section.

Resetting the LinkSys router to factory defaults


If you access the router's web-based settings page or forget the password of the router, you can
reset the router to its default factory settings.

To do this, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. Note: Reset the router to its default
factory settings will also reset the password of the router. The router default password is "admin",
such as user name, just leave the field ".

Important: Make sure that the power LED of the router flashes when pressing the reset button. This
means that the router is reset.
Note: The location of each model's reset button may vary. Older Linksys devices may need to press
and hold the reset button for 30 seconds to complete the reset process.
