HWS 248 Wellness For A Healthy Lifestyle/Lab 4 Activity

Resistance Training Program Design 25pts.

1. Develop a program based on the following guidelines:


a. Develop a clear, concise, user friendly spreadsheet for your program. The program
should be typed. See template on Moodle as an example. 5pts.
b. The program must address the FITT principle as stated in the lecture/power point. Be
sure that all variables are addressed and easily understood when reading the program.
Write a comprehensive program. The program must be at least a minimum of two days.
The below criteria may be divided anyway you like over the designated days of the
program. 10pts.
c. The program must include a minimum of the following as described in the
lecture/power point. See exercise description document on Moodle:
10pts.
i. 3 machine exercises.
ii. 3 free weight exercises.
iii. 3 alternate equipment exercises.
iv. 3 no equipment exercises.
2. It is encouraged that on your own or with a friend you go to the Chlapaty Wellness and
Recreation Center and try your newly written program.
