Discussion of the Art 'A wide variety of prodvets exist which are capable of ‘leaning hard surfaces, suchas ceramic tle ors, hantwood floors, and the like. Many of these products comprise ‘directing handle and a spange for absorbing a uid cleaning ‘composition, The sponge is rinsed periodically to remove sit, designed to handle lamer particulate material such as ‘rubs and the lke. Such materials are removed either by use of a broom or by use of a vacuum cleaner. Non-woven sheets have been used for dry dustaype ‘leaning, as disclosed, for example, in US. Pat Nos. 3,629, 047 and 5,144,729, ‘The sheets are designed to attract particulate dst clectostatically and minimize the amount of residue Teft on the surface being wiped. ‘Recently, cleaning tools have been developed with dis- posable cleaning pads for removal of dirt from damp sur- aces. For example, U.S. Pa. No. 5,004,559 deseribes a mop that includes 2 disposable cleaning pad comprising a serub- ber layer for removing dirt from a soiled surface, a bloter Iayer for absorbing fi after the eleaning process, and a Tiguid impervious layer positioned between the scrubber and blotter layers, During the cleaning action with the scrubber layer, te impervious sheet prevents fui from moving to the absorbent bloter layer. After the cleaning action is com pleted, the pad is removed from the mop handle and reat- tached such that the bloter layer contacts the floor. This ‘operation is time consuming for the user and involves the handling ofa soiled, wet pad, US. Pat. No. $419,015 deseribes a mop having remov= able, washable work pods. Each pad has an upper layer, which is capable of attzching (© books on a mop bead, & central layer of synthetic plastic microporous foam, and 3 Tower layer for contacting a surface during the cleaning ‘operation, However, such tools ate designed for light floor leaning ‘and are unsuited to handle large particles of diet, suet a5 pebbles, crumbs, and the lke. There remains a need for 2 single device that is cspable of removing quantities of dry dint and larger panicles, crumbs and the like from a floor surface and aso of performing wet cleaning ofthe surfiee. ‘The present invention provides a new and improved for ‘leaning device and method of use, which overcome the above-referenced problems and others and meet the above stated needs SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, 3 ‘leaning device is provided.
