Arduino IDE Installation

This is the step by step process to install Arduino IDE.

Step 1: Open your favourite browser and search for the “Arduino”.

Step 2: Open the first link (Arduino – Home).

Step 3: Then you will directed to Arduino official web page.

Step 4: There you have to click on Software option.

Step 5: Then you will diverted to download page.

Step 6: Below Download Options you will find download links for different operating systems. If your
using windows operating system click on “Windows Win 7 and newer” [If your using Mac OS then
click on Mac OS X].

Step 8: Then you will redirected to Support page of Arduino IDE. Then click on “Just DOWNLOAD”
option.

Step 7: Then Arduino software will start downloading. Once downloading is completed, go to
Arduino software downloaded location on your computer.

Step 8: Then double click on the Arduino.exe file.

Step 9: Then a new window will open “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your
devise” click on Yes.

Step 10: After that Arduino Setup License Agreement window will open. Read that agreement, if you
are ok with all conditions click on “I Agree”.

Step 11: Then Arduino Setup Installation options window will open. Check all the boxes and click on
next.

Step 12: Then Arduino Setup Installation Folder windows will open then click on “Install” option.
Then installation will start. [While installing if you get any new window click on “Install” option].

Step 13: After completing installation click on “close” option.

Step 14: Then connect the Arduino Board to your system.

Step 15: On your desktop you will find Arduino icon, double click on it.

Step 15: Then Arduino IDE will open connect the Arduino UNO board (hardware) and then click on
“Tools” from the menu. In Tools check the “port” option and move your cursor to on the port then
port number is visible like “com 4”

Step 16: If port number is visible congratulations your installation process is completed. In case if
your port number is not visible. No problem you have to install port drivers.

Step 17: To do that you have to open your browser and type “CH340” then search.

Step 18: Than open first link that you have got and you will diverted to Gogo : Tronics website.

Step 19: There below Windows you will find “Download the Windows CH340 Driver” option click on
it. Then a Zip file will download.

Step 20: Then go to downloaded file location on your system. Then Un-Zip the Zip file.

Step 21: Then double click on the “CH34x_Install_Windows_v3_4” file.

Step 22: Then a new window will open “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your
devise” click on Yes.

Step 23: After that ‘DriverSetup(X64)’ window will open there click on “INSTALL” option. You can
close the window once installation is completed and restart your system/laptop.

Step 24: After your system/laptop get restarted open Arduino IDE and connect the Arduino UNO
board (hardware) , go to tools menu and now check port the number will be visible.

Step 25: Congratulations your Arduino IDE installed with port continue with manual book to learn
the exciting and fun learning concepts with practical.
