Vehicles that have been in dealer inventory longer than 90 days can be damaged or
deteriorate from various environmental conditions, and will require particular attention in
order to keep them in top quality condition. Please follow the reminders outlined in this
bulletin for all long term storage vehicles in your inventory.

To ensure customer satisfaction and top IQS scores, long term storage vehicles will need
to be inspected following the guidelines outlined in this bulletin.

IQS Aged Inventory Handling Guidelines:


Parking/storage:
• Do not leave Wrap guard on your vehicles for longer than 60 days, or the residual glue may become
difficult to remove. When washing vehicles, make sure to clean the glue lines off completely.
• Vehicles should be stored in secure paved area, free of dirt, weeds, and rodents.
• Distance between vehicles should be at least 30 inches side to side, and 12 inches bumper to bumper
to avoid scratches and door dings.
• Do not park vehicles under trees or structures due to potential exposure to bird droppings that can
damage the vehicle’s paint.
• Remove bird droppings immediately by washing with soapy water.

Periodically check/perform (every 30 days):


• Tire Pressures: Keep at or above recommended pressures.
• Battery condition and charge per warranty policy.
• Exterior and Interior cleanliness.
• Start and run the engine.
• Move the vehicle slightly forward and rearward.

Before delivery to customers verify:


• There are no open campaigns.
• Battery is fully charged, attach printout to RO.
• Wipers are operating properly and streak free, clean or replace if damaged.
• Body and Paint are free of scratches, dents, and nicks.
• Brakes operate without shimmy, judder or noise.

Repair is necessary for any of the above conditions
