TITLE

Civil Partnership Act : ‘’We are Valid’’ Legalization of Same-Sex Civil Union in the
Philippines.

BACKGROUND

Article 3 Section 1 States that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property
without due process of law, nor shall any person be denied the equal protection of
the laws.

We all agree that we are enjoying our right’s to Share Properties with our loved ones,
the right to adopt and be entitled to child custody, the visitations rights to hospitals for
our partners, the right to choose our partners as benificiaries in Pensions, Social
Security and Insurances.

LEGAL PROBLEM

But why is our friends and families from the LGBTQIA+ Community being deprived of
such rights ? Why are they being deprived of the equal protection of the laws? Are they
not classified as ‘’Persons’’ based on Article 3 Section 1 of the 1987 Constitution?

The LGBTQIA+ Community is demanding their rights!

We are Valid to share properties with our Partners, Visit them at the Hospital and
Choose them as our benificiary!

We are Valid to adopt a child and be a parent!

We are Valid to demand our rights!

We are Valid to be classified as Persons!
