Sreedhara Swami, the founder and head of the Sreedhara Swami Sannidhanam, Parvathipuram,

Nagercoil, attained Mahasamadhi at 2:45 AM on 30.05.2021 at a private hospital in Chennai.

He was from the Poovathungal family of Chirakkadavu (Kottayam dist.).

He was the Acharya of 17 temples including the Sri Vanamaleeswara Temple, Parvathipuram, Nagercoil.

He was a householder who was the spiritual guide to a large group of followers and devotees in
Nagercoil.

He was born to Poovathungal PG Sivasankaran Nair and Chettedathu Parvathiamma on 27 th May 1941.
He became the disciple of Sri Guru Maharaj Mahasaya in 1956. He acquired mastery in Sanskrit and
astrology.

He has authored over 80 books on spirituality and has also published his autobiography ‘Aatmartham’.

He is survived by his wife G. Radha, a retired schoolteacher, daughter Gayathri Sreedharan, a techer at
the Govt. School, Poovarani, son-in-law Sreejith, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Changanacherry.

He was cremated at his ancestral house at Chirakkadavu on 30 th May.
