- The roles of Human Resource Management are Staffing, Development of Workplace


Policies, Compensation and Benefits Administration, Retention, Training and
Development, Awareness of External Factors. In Any company, big or small, requires
use of a range of resources to make a business run. Capital requires currency,
valuables, or commodities used to produce business revenue. Software or building
proprietary. No matter the business, both corporations have one thing to do. They
need people in general to make their money work for them.

2. Compare and contrast external recruitment and internal recruitment? (30 pts)

- Internal and external recruiting share one major disadvantage, both methods may
lead to morale problems for the individuals not promoted/hired. Some of the
advantages of external recruiting are new hires may bring new industry insights and
expertise, new hires are likely to have fewer internal political supporters and training
new hires may be cheaper and faster because of prior external experience. The
disadvantages include not selecting someone who will fit well with the job and
organization and new hires who may require longer adjustment periods.
