“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it

today.”

This aphorism had always highly fascinated me since a very young age. I have always been
intrigued by science and all its technological advancements. During my schooling, I loved to
play with science models and was also highly appreciated every time. The world of “cloned
dollies” and the term “Biotechnology” further provoked my passion and translated my interests
into realities. I had always reckoned that Biotechnology did not really have any significant
implications and even if there were any, they were apparently only on a personal level. However,
with time, I learned that it had far outreaching repercussions that could positively contribute for
the amelioration of the society at large. Consequently, I made my way into a top notch university
of Pakistan and got myself enrolled in a Bachelors program for Biotechnology.

I have always felt a penchant for Biochemical Engineering, Genomics, Molecular Biology and
Recombinant DNA Technology. I foresee the emergence of Biochemical technologies as a
leading science in post-COVID world and also a defending discipline against upcoming
maladies. During COVID-19 climax, I started writing a review paper titled as “COVID-19, a
pandemic caused by novel corona virus SARS CoV-2” which is still in progress. I have also been
an active student throughout and have bagged various academic accolades to my name. I was
also an ambassador of Progressive Youth Society of Pakistan. I have also pioneered the
organization of Million Smiles with the unrelenting support and endeavors of my exceptional
team. I am also very outspoken.

Although I reckon research to be my favorite vocation but alas, I could not get a clear research
direction in Pakistan as biotechnology is relatively a new discipline. Consequently, the labs
around here have a dearth of research facilities and lack an erudite faculty. For me an
individual’s progress is directly dependant on the quality of education that one is offered with.
Therefore, I believe that in order to excel in my profession, I shall not limit my experience to
formal education but rather advance it by joining institutes which offer higher opportunities. I
believe that Turkey is the most suitable option as it is endowed with an exceptional faculty and is
also equipped with state-of-the-art technological facilities.

Along with this, I am also of the conviction that Turkey has the most to offer in terms of culture
as it is one of the most diverse societies in the world with a long legacy and a history of
pioneering world-changing events, to its name. Turkey is also a bridge between two continents
and this is axiomatic of the fact that it hosts a diverse set of communities. Turkey is also
investing heavily in its educational infrastructure along with scholarships for international
students. This makes turkey a safe haven for students as it is relatively cheaper, along with a
tolerant society that does not foster racism in anyway, making Turkey my top choice.
