To access the D2L Parent Portal, go to: 

 d2lguest.hcdsb.org

When you log in, for Username you must use the same email address that the
school has on file for your child. That is how you will be linked to your child.

The first time you try to access the site (if you did not use it last year), you will choose
"Forgot Password" and be prompted to create a password. If you do not receive the
email to change your password, be sure to check your junk/spam mail.

One thing I will point out,  if you are going to bookmark the Parent Portal, then
bookmark the login page (d2lguest.hcdsb.org) BEFORE you login.  Last year some
parents had issues if they bookmarked it after they logged in (myself included!)

work.
Once you are logged in to the Parent Portal, if you would like to receive a daily or
weekly update of assignments/quizzes, click on the icon for your name in the top
right corner, then select “Notifications”.

You can then choose to receive daily or weekly summaries.

On the daily/weekly summary, each test/quiz item will have one of 3 statuses

COMPLETE Student has submitted work to the assignment or completed the quiz.

OVERDUE Student has NOT submitted work to the assignment or completed the quiz.

CLOSED Student did NOT submit the assignment or complete the quiz and the
assignment/quiz have been closed for submissions.
