Central Luzon Covid cases reach 145, 188 confirmed cases

City of San Fernando—The total number of corona virus confirmed cases in Central Luzon have now
reached a total of 145, 188 cases according to the latest reports from the Department of Health (DOH).

For August 2 alone, some 836 new cases were recorded in Central Luzon’s seven provinces.

Of the total number of confirmed cases in Central Luzon, some 6, 881 are active cases. Reports also
show that some 3, 568 cases have since died of the corona virus in Central Luzon since the start of the
pandemic last year.

Bulacan has the greatest number of confirmed cases in Central Luzon with 55, 698 confirmed cases
followed by Pampanga with 28, 022 and Nueva Ecija with 15, 687. Bataan also registered some 14, 990
confirmed cases and Tarlac with 10, 817 cases.

Central Luzon alone have recorded some 8, 964 new cases in the last 14 days.

Bulacan province also registered the greatest number of confirmed deaths at 1,041 cases followed by
Pampanga with 900 cases and Nueva Ecija with 471 cases. Some 326 have also died in Tarlac from the
virus since the start of the pandemic along with 247 in Bataan.

Some 118 deaths have been recorded in Central Luzon in the last 14 days.
