General Instructions

The students allotted with the question number is available at the

end of the document.

1. Write your Name, Regno, Course code, Course Title, Slot on the top of the word
document.

2. Copy the allotted question along with the question number and paste on the word
document, which you are about to submit.

3. Compile both the source (.java) program and (output) files in the same word
document and make it as a single PDF file and upload as a single program. The
program should be followed by its output.

Please follow the deadline and the time. ie. The students have to upload their pdf
before their Lab session or can take at the maximum five minutes after the Lab
session gets over. The Assessment cannot be submitted after the deadline. The Vtop
doesn’t have the option for late submission, so if the student fails to submit the
assignment, the mark for the assignment will be provided as ZERO.

1. Calculate the grade of a student:

Get the regno from the student. Where the regno should start with first two digits,
then followed by the course name as BIT or BCE , with last four digit as numbers. If
the regno is not valid, create an userdefined exception as "invalid regno".

Enter marks for minimum 5 subjects. While entering marks if the mark is negative
throw NegativeMarkException and if the mark is greater than 100 throw
outofRangeException.

2. IRCTC booking

Generally we know that there is a ticket consession for the senior citizen(10%)
and with the children(12%), age less than 10. Give an estimation to a family of
four people with three adult, where one person is a senior citizen and a child of
8 years. They wanted to have a visit to some of the places of India from the
following places. Create an userdefined exception to say a family that they have
got a "concession amount of XXX applied" for a family with Senior citizen and
 a children. If the family without any senior citizen , give an estimate to them
with the amount of travel for various places. Get the input from the user as
number of person, dob of each person with their names.
