In deciding on the appropriate course of action, it is essential to evaluate

both the short- and long-term effects. In this case, it is natural to emphasize that
many customers could be poisoned and die because of the company’s meatless
burgers. For the greater good, the best option is to pull the products worldwide.
The option to pull the products worldwide will result to significant employee
layoffs and investors financial losses. But on the other hand, it is the most ethical
option. The human life is important. In order to avoid taking another life, it is best
to pull out the product worldwide. By doing this, we provide the greatest
customer protection and earn back customers trust over the brand.
The company’s available alternatives are to Do Nothing, Pull Products from
Stores City-wide and Pull the Products Worldwide. In deciding the best option, it
is important to weigh the consequences of each alternative. The company could
decide to go with the option to do nothing and that the only relevant
consequence is the potential financial loss to investors. But most people would
conclude that the company is unethical if he follows that alternative. At the other
extreme, the company could decide to pull the products from stores City-wide.
But many people would consider this option that the company only care for the
customers in the city only.
After considering the ethical values, the best appropriate action is to pull
the products worldwide. This action may affect the company in short term but it
will help the company regain the trust of the customers. And because of the trust
of the customers, the damage about the brand will subside and the sales will
rebound.
