SECTION 1: THE BUSINESS PROFILE

Description of My Business

R-chain is a concept about making a group of several retailers. These retailer will be from
across various places in Whole Indore in the starting phase of the project and the group of
retailer will grow gradually across the whole India and after that it will cover whole world
by this way R-chain will have a retail chain, which will be covering whole market.

Role of R-chain

R- Chain will buy goods for these retailers from the companies directly. The R-chain will
play the role of logistic, Distributer and wholesaler as well as of CNF.

Targeted Market and Customers


Customers include all the retailers across Indore region the retailer for this purpose will
we chosen on the basis of their performance in that particular area

Customer will have following advantage:-


1. Easy availability of goods
2. Goods will available at competitive price
3. Retailer will not have to search various distributer product by product
4. R- chain will provide approximately all the product to it’s consumer

Growth Trends In This Business

As various major companies have start their own retail store or various big organization
entering in retail business like RELIANCE FRESH , BIG BAZAAR, EASY DAY etc
These organization have big buying power so that these organization get goods at lesser
price than the a local retailer and manage to sale goods at lesser price than a retail store
these are giving a great challenge to small retailers.
If will this way there is huge opportunity for R-chain in the market because small retailer
will like to sustain theme self for that they will need a source from where they can get
goods at a price by which they can compete with big player and in this task R- chain will
play major role.

Pricing Power
R-Chain will buy bulk quantity of goods directly from the company so it will get goods at
cheaper price and R-chain will have it’s own supply chain system it will help in making
flow of goods easy.
R-chain will set a price for product in the way that the retail can sold goods at the price
that is not more than that of big retail store like RELIANCE FRESH while making a
certain level of profit.

Computer and Communications Tools


Whole business will manage through MIS Or a customize software that will manage the
inventory of business as well the requirement of individual customer.

Resource Requirements:

Communications
Maximum monthly expenditure for communication will approx 10,000.

Telephones

5 landline connections will require and the cost of each will vary monthly from 1000 to 1500.
So total expenditure for this purpose will be minimum 5000 an maximum 7500.

Facsimile

Approx 1000 per month

Computers

5 computers will be required for the business purpose in starting phase of business these will cost
approx 5 lack rupees.

Internet
Inter is a major requirement for this business and the expenditure for this purpose will be approx
2000 rupees per month.
SECTION 4: ORGANIZATION

Business Organization
Public company is which major equity share holder will be customer (Retailers) of R-
chain
The purpose behind this is to share risk and crate a feeling of own ship in Retailers that
they are not different from R-chain and R- chain is their own company this will create a
loyalty among customers toward company.

Licenses

The company will need license under companies act 1987


SECTION 5: PREMISES

Space requirement
R-chain have requirement of one warehouse and one office to carry out its business. For
warehouse there will be requirement of area of 10,000 square meter and office will be
establish in a area of 1,000 square meter.

Location of warehouse
Warehouse will be out side the Indore city and will be used to store goods that will arrive
directly from manufacturing company.

Location of Office
Office will be establish in the City Indore this will be selected based on following crieteria
1. Cost (Rent of office building)
2. Easy accessibility by the customer (Retailer)
SECTION 6: FINANCING

Financing Strategy
For this business purpose finance will be arrange from following sources
1. Own capital
2. capital from equity share partners
3. From bank loan / Venture capitalist
SECTION 7: MARKETING

Marketing Plan

First of all a marketing research will be conducted to find out optimum retailers with
whom strategic partnership can be done retailers will be majored based on following
criteria’s
1. Monthly sale of retailer
2. Capital he can provide to R- chain
3. His attitude toward R-chain
4. How he maintain relationship with customers etc

Once marketing research will done and potential customer (Retailer ) have identified
Second task will be to attract retailer by informing theme about the benefit they can get
by being with R-chain.

Communication tool :
Personal selling : Sales person will be used to contact with the customer
Direct marketing will also be used to communicate retailers about new product if will add
in its portfolio.

Advertising and Promotion Plans

R-chain will not conduct advertising for it’s customer but will do advertisement to attract
people or consumer to buy goods from the retailer that is in strategic partnership with R-
chain.

The Competition

R- Chain will compete to both big retailers and to small whole seller and from various
distributers.

But once R- chain will do contract with retailers it will have a fix number of customer that
will not be affected from competitors.
SECTION 8: GROWTH PROGRAM

R- Chain will stared it’s operation from Indore city in first phase this phase will be of 2 to 3
year after that it will start operation in whole M.P. and time period to capture whole M.P.
will be of 4 – 5 year. After that it will start business at national level and in long term
R-chain in intended to go global?
