Adverbs
ADVERBS
 Manners: we use adverbs of manner to say how people do
things.

 Modifiers: we use modifying adverbs with adjectives or other
verbs to intensify a characteristic (adj.) or an action (v.).

We form adverbs from adjectives.

They go after the verb.

-Marion sings. -Marion sings beautifully.


-Erick draws. -Erick draws well.
-I drive. -I drive carefully.
-Our kids behave. -Our kids behave badly.

They always go before the adjective or adverb.

-The jacket is beautiful. -The jacket is absolutely beautiful.
-My father was angry. -My father was very angry.
