ASSIGNMENT 4

Reflect Upon:

1. Along the way, what did you discover about yourself and your own way performing
the 12 drills in badminton?

- I realized that badminton is far from an easy sport. I underestimated the drills
and the skills needed in each drill. Every drill has one goal that made me really
motivated because even though it is hard and exhausting, it is fun as well.
Experiencing the 12 drills proved myself that there is still a big room to learn
badminton. The sport is not just merely about the using of equipment, it is more
of a dedication of an athlete to improve. Posture as well how do you handle the
equipment is a must. Moreover, I reflected that there are lots of drills that I need
to improve especially my agility and coordination. It is tough at first but as I go
further, I find it enjoyable at the same time challenging which somehow a new
thing for me. I always rely on my comfortable spot but doing the badminton
drills made me realized that I can be better and I can be more of competent
human being.

2. Are there things you’d consider doing differently next time you make your own
drills?

- Actually, there are none. Knowing that I am still a newbie in playing badminton,
I want to be consistent with the drills given to me. Being consistent with the
drills introduced to me will help me to improve my skills that I need to focus on
first. The drills that introduced to me first are very fundamental in developing
the athletic skills in badminton. In order for me to improve, I have to master the
basic skills first. Someday, when I improve the skills in the sport badminton, I
would love to try and make my own drills. But as of now, I will still strictly follow
the drills and master every single move of it. The thought of fundamentals drills
might be easy but when I tried to played, I definitely pushed myself to stick on
these drills and be an expert in order for me to become a badminton player.
