Part 1

Answer all questions in complete sentences.

a) Summarise the video content by identifying the main idea. (2 marks)

Based on the video I have watched, I think that the main idea of this video is blind would
color with the depression. Although the artist is blind but he use painting to make his life
become colorful. He figured out his talent and practice it become professional. Before he
start painting, his life just have black and white, this two color only. But after he start
painting, his life is changing. He can paint his family picture although he never seen it
before. In conclusion,color can make people life become more interesting and beautiful.

b) State and explain briefly the three techniques that helped the artist to paint. (3 marks)

i. Mixing color. The artist figure out how to mix color by feeling the different texture in
the oil.

ii. Clay paint by outline image. The artist use his finger to guide the brush drop and
paint the outline image.

iii. Drawing subject. The artist is blind so he use his finger tips to touch and feel the
subject after that just he paint the subject.
