25 Law Enforcement Agencies

1. Armed Forces of the Philippines- Executes the Presidents Command in


relation to military strategy, tactics and operation.
2. Barangay Tanod - Maintaining the Peace and Order of the Barangay.
3. Bureau of Corrections-They rehabilitate the National Prisoners. They
carry out its mandate: Confine persons convicted by the courts to serve a
sentence in national prisons.
4. Bureau of Fire Protection-To prevent the outbreak of destructive fires,
enforce relevant laws, and provide or help provide emergency medical and
rescue services.
5. Bureau of Jail Management and penology-Responsible for the
effectiveness and efficiency of the section. Work with the Jail.
6. Civil Guard-Oldest law enforcement that patrol rural areas and investigates
crimes.
7. Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-They monitor, investigate and
prosecutes all crime involving economic sabotage like bank frauds, large
scale smuggling and others crimes.
8. Department of National Defense- Responsible for guarding against
external and internal threats to peace and security in the country.
9. Department of the Interior and Local Government-Responsible for
promoting peace and order, ensuring public safety and strengthening local
government capability.
10.Immigration and Customs Enforcement- They are responsible for an
important sector of the nations safety. It is the largest investigative agency
in the Department of Homeland Security and maintains enforcement of the
nations immigration and customs law.
11.Integrated National Police-Responsible for public safety, protection of lives
and property, enforcement of laws and maintenance of peace and order
throughout the nation.
12.Intelligence Services of the Philippines- They are responsible for the peace
and order in our country specially to our lands and resources.
13.Land Transportation Organization(LTO)-Responsible for the Land
Transportation which were tasked to perform functions such as registering,
Licensing of drivers and enforcing land transportation rules and regulations.
14.National Bureau Of Investigation- They serves as the premier investigative
agency of government.
15.National Counter-Terrorism Action Group-They cover the coordination,
intelligence and operational of strategic.
16.Parole and Probation Administration-Mandated to conserve and redeem
convicted offenders and prisoners who are under the probation or parole
system.
17.Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Responsible for efficient law
enforcement of all provisions on any dangerous drugs and essential
chemicals.
18.Philippine National Police- To Serve And Protect the Country. They also
enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order.
19.Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group- Responsible in securing
all the countrys airports against offensive and terroristic acts that threaten
civil aviation, in exercising operational control and supervision over all
agencies involved in airport security operations.
20.Philippine National Police Maritime Group- Responsible in law
enforcement in the maritime environment. Its mission then was to
perform all police functions over Philippine territorial waters and rivers.
21.Philippine National Police Program Management Office- To generate and
convert strategies and concepts into projects that will improve the
competencies of PNP personnel.
22.Special Reaction Unit- Part of the Presidential Security Group which serves
as its main counter-terrorist unit among the other nine organic units.
23.Security Agency- Agency that conducts intelligence activities for the
internal security of nation. They are domestic cousins of foreign intelligence
agencies, and typically conduct counter intelligence.
24.Traffic Management Groups- They ensure safe and efficient movement of
citizens and goods.
25.Women in the Philippine National Police- They are responsible for PNP
operations, papers, and other crime related to their positions that can help
ensure safety and protection in our society.
