In today’s world Micro finance through Self Help Group
(SHG) has been recognized internationally as the modern tool to combat poverty and for rural development, they are effective in reducing poverty, empowering women and creating awareness which finally results in sustainable development of the nation. Hence the study is based on the empowerment of women through microfinance enterprises.
The first chapter of the study gives the basic introduction
about women empowerment, microfinance enterprises and its history and factors of women empowerment through microfinance enterprises. The second chapter describes about review of previous research papers. Reviews related to the empowerment of women’s through microfinance enterprises.
Data was collected through questionnaire from various
groups of women’s within Chennai city. The study comprises of 50 samples. A detailed analysis of the data using statistical tools were studied and summed up in the third chapter. Various charts and tables are used to give precise and clear information of the data collected. Finally, the findings, suggestions and conclusion from the study are pointed out in the fourth chapter of the report. 4.2 FINDINGS OF THE STUDY
