1. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates applying for the various posts need to have a bachelor's degree from
a recognized university at the time of applying. (Candidates having a Master
degree can also appear for the exam)
Aspirants applying for SSC CGL must not be less than 18 years and cannot be
more than 32 years of age (as of August 1, of the year).
The lower and upper limit of age varies for each post.
The age of candidates as present in the 10 th/12th certificates will be considered.
Aspirants require to have the specified physical standards before the final round
of selection. (This is only with respect to Post for the Inspector Central Excise/
Examiner/ Preventive officer)

The official website of SSC releases the CGL exam notification every year.
(Usually the Notification comes around year end, between Oct – Dec, and
the exam begins during the 2nd quarter of the year)
SSC CGL Exam Admit Cards/ Admission Certificates (ACs) will be uploaded on
the website of the concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional Office of the Commission.
The facility for the download of Admit Cards will be available at least one week
before the examination on the website of concerned Regional/ Sub Regional
Office.
Candidates are advised to visit the website of the concerned Regional Office and
SSC HQ regularly for updates and information about the examination.
There is SSC CGL exam center in Bangalore.

Aspirants of the SSC CGL 2021 exam will be assigned roll numbers and admit
cards to appear for the Tier I exam.
Candidates will be shortlisted category-wise to appear for Tier II and Tier III,
based on the marks scored in SSC CGL 2021 Tier I.
All candidates will have to appear for Paper I and Paper II in Tier-II exam.
However, only specific candidates will have to appear for Paper III and Paper IV
of the Tier II exam in SSC CGL 2021 exam.
Separate cutoff will be fixed for Paper I, Paper-II, Paper III and Paper IV of Tier II
exam.
In SSC CGL 2021 exam, there will be minimum qualifying marks in each Tier and
all the papers. The minimum qualifying marks in SSC CGL Tier I, Tier II(each
paper), Tier III are as follows:
Unreserved Categories – 30 %
EWS/OBC Categories – 25%
Other Categories – 20%
Before preparing for the SSC CGL 2021 Exam, candidates must check the official
notification to get early information on any upcoming changes in the Exam pattern.
