Fake news is not just incorrect information, but also information that has been manipulated

or distorted from reality. The start and dissemination of fake news are influenced by three
factors: mistrust, misinformation, and manipulation. Nowadays people acquire, disseminate,
and update news easily from different social media sites and various networks which are
often difficult to prove legitimacy, credibility, and trustworthiness.

Technology has now the machine responsible for much of the fake news that is generated
today. We can’t control the people spreading it. We need to be careful the source of the
origination and the authenticity of the source. Therefore we must read carefully the sources
of information because online content tends to use eye-catching headlines to attract
readers' attention and writers, reporters, or journalists may publish a story with irresponsible
and erratic information without verifying all of the facts and aspects, which can lead to
deceive readers.

How can we stay away from fake news? First carefully examine the source of origination,
Second focus more on content than the headline, and Lastly always refer to other legitimate
media check the sources and examining the facts It help us readers to know if it’s fake news
or not. Checking the facts should be the obligation and duty of readers/ audiences and
always think before sharing.
